There is just as much for the kids, such as crazy golf, parks, football courts, and also the nearby Model village which
is just one of the attractions within walking distance. While you are there you could also visit the Blackpool Zoo which

Showzam will take place during February Half-Term from 18-27 February 2011, and it’ll be part of the February Festival, running from Friday 11 to Sunday 27 February 2011 and featuring a host of entertainment and attractions for all the family.

Blackpool Marathon and Half Marathon - early June, starting at 09:00 at the Blackpool Tower and passing the seafront, Golden Mile and many other prominent sights
Totally Transport - mid-June, a classic car event, with many lovingly restored cars, motorbikes and other vehicles from much of the last century
July 2011 Town Criers' Championships - mid-July, competition in the town centre, where the loudest voice wins.

Fireworks Championships first weekend of September
Top firework companies from around the globe will be invited to stage firework displays on Central PromenadeCome and see this spectacle: afterwards we sit and reflect in the lounge, enjoying a hot Chocolate with.... to warm up and look forward to the next contestant!

4 September - 8 November 2009. Blackpool Illuminations are considered to be the greatest free light show on earth, which entertains millions of visitors between September and November time each year.
